The Whirlwind THS2 Talkback Headphone Box is a great audio tool. It has a single microphone output, controlled by a latching Mic On/Off switch and a momentary Cough switch. The passive, straight - through connection of the microphone output means it stays live on - air even if the THS 2 loses power. It only works with dynamic mics. The headphone inputs have balanced left and right inputs on separate female XLR connectors, with individual front - panel volume controls for each ear. There's also a balanced XLR Mono input that feeds both ears equally, with its own volume control. It can drive headphones with impedances from 30 to 600 Ohms to full volume. Powered by a 12 VAC power adapter (model # PS12AC1A, included). Key features include left and right balanced line - level inputs with individual volume controls, an additional Mono input, balanced XLR input and output jacks, a red lamp to indicate the Mic is on, a silent Push to Mute (Cough) switch, 1/4”TRS or 3.5mm headphone jacks, and the included power adapter.

Using the Whirlwind THS2 Talkback Headphone Box is easy. First, connect your dynamic microphone to the microphone input. You can control the mic with the Mic On/Off switch and the Cough switch. To use the headphones, connect them to the appropriate jacks. Adjust the volume for the left and right ears using the front - panel volume controls. If you want to use the Mono input, connect your audio source to it and adjust its volume separately. Remember, this box only works with dynamic mics. For power, use the included 12 VAC power adapter (model # PS12AC1A). Keep the box in a dry and clean place. If it gets dirty, gently wipe it with a soft cloth. Don't expose it to extreme temperatures or humidity to ensure its long - term performance.
