Using the TOA Electronics IP - A1PC238 ceiling speaker is quite easy. First, install it on the ceiling using the spring - clamp mounting method. Make sure the ceiling thickness is between 5 - 25 mm. Connect it to the network via the RJ45 connector using PoE power. You can then start adding audio files to the internal storage. Just use the supported file formats like WAV or MP3.
When it comes to setting up the broadcasts, you can choose from different modes such as SIP, Multicast, or VMS. You can also set priorities for these modes according to your needs. To control the speaker, you can use the control inputs or the remote API (HTTP).
Some important things to note: Keep the operating temperature between 0°C and 50°C and the humidity below 90% without condensation. The clock accuracy is ±13 seconds per month, and you can adjust the time manually or using an NTP server. In case of a power outage, the RTC time will be retained for 24 hours at 40°C.
For maintenance, keep the speaker clean. Wipe the frame and grill gently with a soft, dry cloth. Check the connections regularly to ensure they are secure. If you encounter any issues with audio quality, check the audio codec settings and the file formats of the stored audio files.
