The Lowell CB84A is a surface-mount steel enclosure for ceiling or wall installation. It's designed to hold a screw-mount grille and a standard 8” speaker. With its clean look, it's perfect for schools, offices, restaurants, hotels, and similar places. For a flush corner fit, pair the box with grille FW8. For a staggered corner, use it with grille JG-8X. It's made of 20-gauge one-piece U.S. steel with welded seams and a white finish. Dimensions are 13.00 in. in length and width, and 4.00 in. in depth, with a volume of 0.391 cu.ft. It has 1 in. thick acoustic batting, a screw-mount grille type, Timmerman clips on front flanges, a universal mounting pattern for an E.O. box (not included), a 0.375 in. hole with grommet for wire access, and Wiremold 500 Series knockouts on two sides.
Using the Lowell CB84A is easy. First, choose whether you want to mount it on the ceiling or the wall. Then, attach the screw - mount grille to the enclosure. Next, place your standard 8” speaker inside. If you want a flush corner fit, make sure to use the box with grille FW8. For a staggered corner, use grille JG - 8X. When it comes to maintenance, keep the enclosure clean. You can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe it down. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they may damage the white finish.
