Product Description

The DBX ZC-1 Rotary Volume Control is an amazing addition to the DriveRack and ZonePRO families. It greatly extends their functionality. The nine Zone Controllers use analog DC voltage for logic control, including zone source selection, volume adjustment, muting, program or scene selection, and fire safety muting. Wired with common and affordable CAT5 cable using universal RJ-45 connectors, it can reach up to 1000 ft, offering simple and elegant solutions for contractors. The ZC-1 provides programmable remote volume control for the DriveRack 220i, 260, and ZonePRO devices. Key features include providing computer - programmable rotary potentiometer volume control for dbx DriveRack 260, 220i, and ZonePRO devices, having DIP switches for identification when connected to the processing device via CAT 5 cable on RJ - 45 connectors, and being a dbx ZC - 1 remote controller. Technical specs: It has (2) RJ - 45 connectors. Series wiring's maximum cable length varies with the number of Zone Controllers (e.g., three Zone Controllers: 600 ft; six Zone Controllers: 300 ft). Parallel wiring using ZC - BOB can support up to six Zone Controllers at 1000 ft. The parallel wiring cable should be CAT5 or CAT5E with 28.6 Ohm/M (Ohm/1000ft.) nominal DCR and rated VW - 1 or higher. It also has safety agency certifications like UL 60065, IEC 60065, EN 55013, E60065. All information is subject to change without notice. Recommended for installed setups.

Using the DBX ZC - 1 is easy. First, connect it to your DriveRack 220i, 260, or ZonePRO device using a CAT5 cable with RJ - 45 connectors. You can use DIP switches to identify it properly. Then, you can start adjusting the volume using the rotary potentiometer. It's computer - programmable, so you can set it up according to your needs. When wiring, if you're using series wiring, remember that the maximum cable length depends on the number of Zone Controllers. For parallel wiring with the ZC - BOB, you can connect up to six Zone Controllers at a distance of 1000 ft. Make sure to use the right type of cable (CAT5 or CAT5E with specific DCR ratings). Also, keep in mind that all the information about this product might change, so stay updated. For maintenance, keep it in a clean and dry place. If there are any issues, refer to the safety agency certifications for proper handling. And this product is best for installed setups, so plan your installation carefully.
