Using the Ring Alarm Pro Security Kit is easy. First, make sure you have an existing Internet service or 24/7 Cellular Backup Internet and a compatible Ring Protect Plan (sold separately). Connect the base station directly to your modem. You can set it up on a table or mount it on the wall. Use your smartphone to complete the setup process. The keypad can be wall - mounted or placed on a flat surface. The contact sensors should be installed on doors and windows, and the motion detectors in room corners or on flat walls. The alarm range extender plugs into a standard power outlet. Remember, in Low Power Mode, only some security features are available. The battery life of devices depends on usage, settings, and the environment. For the contact sensors, cold temperatures may drain the batteries faster. Keep the devices within the recommended operating temperature range (32°F to 104°F for most devices, 32°F to 120°F for contact and motion detectors). If you need to expand the Wi - Fi coverage, add eero extenders. Regularly check the batteries of the sensors and the backup battery of the base station and range extender.
