Product Description

The Lowell CP87 is a recessed enclosure crafted for 8 - inch speakers. It comes with a backbox and an extended grille mounting flange. This flange is extremely useful in new construction as it safeguards the opening from plaster, poured concrete, or sheetrock. Additionally, it's a great fit for both new and existing construction when installed in suspended tile ceilings. The enclosure is made of welded heavy - gauge unitized steel, has a 12 - inch diameter, 6.69 - inch depth, and a 0.438 cu.ft. volume. It features undercoated and batting acoustical treatment, and comes with knockouts and clips for mounting. The grille is screw - mount, and the flange has an extended lip. It's proudly made in the U.S.A. with certified U.S. steel.

Using the Lowell CP87 recessed enclosure is easy. First, find a suitable location for your 8 - inch speaker. If you're working on new construction, the extended flange will protect the opening as you work with plaster, concrete, or sheetrock. In existing construction or suspended tile ceilings, it's just as easy to install. When mounting, use the knockouts and clips provided. As for maintenance, keep the enclosure clean. You can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe it down regularly. Avoid using abrasive cleaners as they might damage the steel. Also, check the mounting from time to time to ensure it remains secure. That's all you need to know to get the most out of your Lowell CP87 enclosure.
