Product Description

Professional Intercom PS300 2.4Amp 3-Circuit Power Supply

The PS300 is similar to the PS301, but it lacks program audio features and comes at a lower cost.

Key Features

  • The PS300 is a 3-circuit power supply with a special hybrid setup.
  • Microprocessors handle all switching, routing, and supervision, while audio paths and the core power supply stay analog.
  • Like all 300 series master stations and power supplies, the PS300 has a large toroidal transformer that emits almost no stray field radiation, so it won't interfere with other devices in the rack.
  • Each of the 3 circuits in the PS300 is independent, except for sharing the toroidal transformer and rectifier.
  • The monitoring and control functions include automatic adjustment of termination impedance when circuits are combined, adapting to voltage drops, monitoring heat sink temperature, and turning on the cooling fan when needed.

Technical Specifications

Size (excluding ears)
17” width x 9.5” depth x 1.75” height (432 x 241 x 44.5 mm)
Weight
9.8lbs (4.5Kg)

Using the PS300 power supply is straightforward. Just connect it to your system as per the wiring instructions. Make sure it's in a well - ventilated area to avoid overheating. When combining circuits, the system will automatically adjust the termination impedance, so you don't have to worry about that. It can also handle voltage drops well, but in case of extreme brownouts, it's best to have a backup power source. Keep an eye on the heat sink temperature. If the cooling fan turns on, it means the device is working hard and needs proper ventilation. Regularly check the connections to ensure they are secure. Also, don't place any magnetic or sensitive devices too close to it, as even though it emits very little stray field radiation, it's better to be safe.
