Product Description

The TOA Electronics M-804EX-AM 4-Port Extension Module is specially designed for exclusive use with the M-8080D. It's a great port expander with a star - connected controller setup. Key features include 1 digital input port from the M-8080D, 1 digital output port for audio and control, 3 digital output ports for control only, and it runs on a 24V DC power supply. Technical specs show it can be powered by the M-8080D or an external DC24 power supply. It has various green and red indicator lights. Inputs can transmit and receive AES3 digital audio and control data. Output ports can connect to multiple devices like M-822IO and M-800RC. It operates between 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F), has an aluminum black panel and a surface - treated steel plate black case. Dimensions are 196.2 W x 44.2 H x 133 D mm (7.72” W x 1.74” H x 5.24” D) and weighs 0.92 kg.

Using the TOA Electronics M-804EX-AM 4-Port Extension Module is easy. First, connect the RD IN port to the M-8080D using the RJ45 connector. This will transmit and receive AES3 digital audio and control data. For the output ports, connect Port 1 to devices like the M-822IO or M-800RC. Ports 2 - 4 can be connected to M-800RC or M-800RCT. Make sure the total cable length from the M-8080D RD port to the last controller doesn't exceed 100 meters. The module needs a 24V DC power supply, which can come from the M-8080D or an external DC24 power supply. Keep it in an environment where the temperature is between 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F). To maintain it, keep the panel and case clean. Wipe them gently with a dry cloth. If there are any issues, check the indicator lights. A red power light should be on when it's powered up. Green lights for RD IN, RD exp audio, and RD exp control indicate proper functioning.
