Product Description
The Platinum Tools ezEX48 Connector is specially crafted for larger cables and conductors. It features a unique integrated Hi-Lo stagger load bar, enabling larger conductors to pass through the front end of the connector. This makes it a breeze to verify the wiring sequence before termination. Typically used with Cat6A, it can be terminated with the EXO Crimp Frame and EXO-EX Die (PLAT-100061C). In modern networks, twisted pair cables require more speed and bandwidth. To meet these needs, the size of Cat5e/6/6A cables has increased. The outer diameter of the cable and the insulation diameter of the conductors are larger and vary by manufacturer, posing a challenge to cable and connector compatibility. The patented ezEX-RJ45 Termination System is the answer, offering better cable-to-connector compatibility to meet higher performance demands. The ezEX-RJ45 connectors have a unique integrated Hi-Lo stagger load bar, allowing 'big' conductors to pass through the front end, making wiring sequence verification easy before termination. Key Features: Simple one-piece/pass-through design without bars or liners; Hi-Lo stagger isolates each conductor for high performance; Compliant with 5e/6/6A standards; Insulation diameter (conductor) size range: .043” - .048” (1.09 - 1.22mm); Max outer diameter: .290” (7.36mm); Rated up to 10 Gigabit for excellent performance; Suitable for solid or stranded 22 - 24 AWG; Compliant with FCC, RoHS 2 & UL; Made in the USA.
Using these Platinum Tools ezEX48 ezEX - RJ45 connectors is quite straightforward. First, check if your cable meets the requirements. The connectors are suitable for cables with an insulation diameter (conductor) in the range of .043” - .048” (1.09 - 1.22mm) and a max outer diameter of .290” (7.36mm), and can work with solid or stranded 22 - 24 AWG cables. When you're ready to use, insert the cable through the front end of the connector. Thanks to the unique Hi - Lo stagger load bar, larger conductors can pass easily. Before terminating, take a moment to verify the wiring sequence. Once you're sure, use the EXO Crimp Frame and EXO - EX Die (PLAT - 100061C) to terminate the connector, typically used with Cat6A. As for maintenance, keep the connectors in a dry and clean place. Avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures or moisture, as this could affect their performance. Also, since they're compliant with FCC, RoHS 2, and UL, you can be confident in their quality and safety. And remember, these connectors are made in the USA, so you're getting a high - quality product.
