Product Description

The Lowell BME84 Blind Mount Enclosure is a great solution when you can't access the area above the ceiling. This kit comes with a backbox and mounting ring, allowing for easy installation from beneath a drywall or plaster ceiling. Made of welded unitized heavy - gauge steel with a sleek black finish, it has a diameter of 10.06 inches and a depth of 4.06 inches, offering a volume of 0.187 cu.ft. It features a foam pad for acoustical treatment. The enclosure comes with useful mounting and installation aids like knockouts, brackets, clips, and a ring with a breakaway groove. It's suitable for both screw - mount and torsion grille types. Plus, it's proudly made in the U.S.A. with certified U.S. steel.

Using the Lowell BME84 Blind Mount Enclosure is quite straightforward. First, when you're ready to install, make sure you have all the parts from the kit, including the backbox and mounting ring. Since you're installing from beneath the ceiling, find the right spot and use the knockouts, brackets, clips, and the ring with the breakaway groove to secure it properly. For the grille, you can choose either a screw - mount or torsion type. When it comes to maintenance, keep an eye on the foam pad for acoustical treatment. If it gets dirty, you can gently clean it. Also, check the steel enclosure for any signs of rust, especially in humid environments. Since it's made in the U.S.A. with certified steel, it's built to last, but a little care will go a long way. Just be careful during installation to avoid any damage to the ceiling or the enclosure itself.
