Product Description

The Gold Line ZM-1P Advanced Impedance Meter with Protection Relay is a must - have tool for setting up a distributed sound system. It eliminates the guesswork when matching multiple speakers to the right power amplifier. You can easily match impedance levels during installation and calculate the watts your speakers need. This device measures the impedance of loudspeakers, entire distributed systems, and individual components. It also calculates the wattage of an installed loudspeaker system. The ZM-1P features an Overload Protection Circuit that safeguards the meter from amplifier overloads up to 120 VAC and a Tone Generator for better system testing and performance. Technical Specifications: - Accuracy: Impedance ± 3% / Wattage ± 2% - Connectors: All models have Load/Output Banana Jacks - Display: 3.5 Digit LCD with Battery Low Indicator - Test Tone: 400mv (-6dBu) - Power: Eight “AA” Alkaline Batteries - Battery Life: 35 hours continuous in Impedance Mode, 23 hours continuous in Calculated W Mode - Approvals: CE Mark ZM1, ZM1P - Emissions: EN 55022 B: FCC Class B - Immunity: EN 55024 B - Size: 3.25 x 8 x 2.25” - Weight: 12 oz. - Case Material: High Impact ABS - Test Frequencies: 100Hz, 330Hz, 1kHz, 10kHz - Voltage Ranges: 25Vac (Some USA public schools and institutions), 50Vac (International), 70Vac (USA Industrial Standard), 100Vac (International) - Impedance Measurement Ranges: 0 to 199.9 Ω, 0 to 1999 Ω, 0 to 19.99k Ω - Wattage Measurement Ranges: 0 to 19.99W, 0 to 199.9W, 0 to 1999W

Using the Gold Line ZM-1P is easy. First, make sure you have eight “AA” alkaline batteries installed. Then, connect the device to your speakers or the sound system using the banana jack connectors. To measure impedance, simply turn on the meter and select the appropriate impedance measurement range. The device will display the impedance value on the 3.5 - digit LCD screen. For wattage calculation, follow the same process but switch to the wattage mode. When testing your system, use the tone generator to check the performance. This will help you ensure everything is working as it should. Here are some important things to keep in mind. Don't expose the meter to amplifier overloads higher than 120 VAC, as the overload protection circuit may not be able to handle it. Also, be aware of the battery life. In impedance mode, you can use it continuously for about 35 hours, and in calculated W mode, it's around 23 hours. When the battery low indicator on the display lights up, replace the batteries promptly. For maintenance, keep the device in a dry place and clean it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. If you have any issues with the meter, refer to the technical specifications or contact the manufacturer for further assistance.
